has two pierced handles with very deep heavy gilding
decoration throughout.

within the portrait which measures: 6 inches in diameter.
The
Gilded wreath around the inner portrait is one inch wide and very detailed.

Maria Anna Angelika
Kauffmann
(30 October 1741 – 5 November 1807), usually known in English as
Angelica
Kauffman, was a Swiss
Neoclassical painter
who had a successful career in London and Rome. Remembered primarily as a history painter,
Kauffmann
was a skilled portraitist, landscape and decoration painter.
Angelica Kauffman was a founding member of the Royal Academy of Arts and one of London’s most sought-after portraitists.
Heavy gilding adorned with raised scrollwork on the handles.
Colors of forest green and deep red surround the outside of the portrait, with intricate gold
designs like flowers or snowflakes.
In excellent condition, with
very minor
wear along gilding on the wreath.

The light-pink that shows-up on the edge of the tray is actually white, but photos show it as light-pink shadow.
