19th Century Royal Vienna Style Hand Painted Woman & Sheep Coffee Cup & Saucer
Very nice porcelain coffee cup and saucer. The cup is decorated with a hand painted scene of a woman and sheep framed in gold gilding. With an elaborate border in red, green, black, and gold with gold and black beading and raised gold scrollwork. The bottom of the cup and center of the saucer are in red with partially raised gold gilt overlay. Marked on the bottom with a underglaze blue beehive/shield mark. The cup also has the name of the scene, Abra, in black. There are no impressed marks to either the cup or the saucer.
Has some wear to the gilding and some loss to the beading, but no chips or cracks.
The cup measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 3/8 inches wide.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/8 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
