    Jamie Quirk (b.1954) was a 1st round pick in the 1972 MLB Draft by the K.C. Royals, and played parts of 18 seasons in the majors for 8 teams, as a utility player for the Royals (1975-1976 & 1982 & 1985-1988), Brewers (1977), Cardinals (1983), White Sox (1984), Indians (1984), Yankees (1989), Oak. A's (1989-1990), and Orioles (1989). Quirk played in 984 games, hitting .240, with 43 HRs, and 247 RBIs. He played in 4 ALCS & 1 W.S., hitting .154 in 8 games. After his playing days, he coached for the Royals (1994-2001), Rangers (2002), Rockies (2003-2008), bull-pen coach Astros (2010-2011), and Cubs (2012).
