Japanese Army Officer Shin Gunto Sword Gendai 27 1/2 inch Blade Very Nice

This is an extremely nice and well made example of a Japanese Army Officer Shin Gunto Sword that dates from the WWII Era and is mounted with a magnificent hand-forged blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 27 1/2 inches in length. The blade remains in very nice original condition with only some minor surface blemishes and boasts a fabulous, actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The unsigned tang wears one hole.  All the fittings have also survived in superb, original and very clean condition. The metal scabbard also remains very nice with the exception of one very small ding near the carrying ring. Overall measuring 39 3/4 inches in length.  TO SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS PLEASE SCROLL DOWN.
