    JK W Heinrich Royal Vienna Style Courting Couple Playing Chess Plate C 1952 - 72.
    Beautiful porcelain cabinet plate made by Heinrich and decorated by Josef Kuba in the Royal Vienna style, with a central Colonial / Georgian couple playing chess outside. This scene is surrounded by gold gilt beading and Art Nouveau designs over a maroon border. With gold floral encrustation along the edge. Marked on the reverse with a green decorator's mark over top the original manufacturer's mark which can be still be seen. The decorator's mark reads Fine Porcelain JK W Western Germany. This mark was used by Josef Kuba between 1952 and 1972. The manufacturer's mark underneath it is a crown over Heinrich Germany.
    There is a little bit of wear to the maroon, but otherwise good condition with no chips , cracks or wear to the gilding.
