    This is an
ORIGINAL WORLD WAR I & II JAPANESE ARISAKA BAYONET & SCABBARD
. (Inv. no. 0630) It is about 20 inches long with a 15 5/8 inch blade. This was for model 1897 (type 30) 1905 (Type39) 1939 (type 99) Arisaka rifle and carbine. It was the main Japanese type of bayonet from 1897 to the end of WWII. It is marked on the ricasso with the arsenal mark of Matsusnita Kinzoku. It is marked on the end of the pommel ?? 44891. There appears to be a small mark on the top of the spine. The blade is in very good to fine condition with some loss of finish. The scabbard has a couple of shallow dents and is missing the throat lip, but otherwise is in good condition. This is outside my area of collecting and expertise and I have relied on references books and the internet. Please email any questions. Starting price is .95. Shipping weight is 2 pounds 8 ounces.
