Description
Pair of Antique Count Thun Royal Vienna Style Courting Couple Blue & Gold SaucersPretty pair of porcelain saucers. Decorated in the Royal Vienna style with a courting couple in the center framed by brown, blue and yellow bands. With gold gilt floral designs over the brown and blue. Has multicolor floral designs over the yellow and gold gilding along the edge.
Marked on the bottom in green with a crown over Vienna Austria. This is listed as an importer's mark first used by PH Leonard until 1898, then briefly used by Bawo & Dotter before being used by two other companies by 1915. However, this does not make sense as the mark is under the glaze and only a manufacturer's mark is under the glaze. It was probably used by Count Thun, as it shows up on pieces with the impressed TK mark used by Count Thun.
These have some wear to the gilding, but no chips or cracks.
Each saucer measures approximately 5 inches wide.
These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the pieces.
