Royal Vienna Style Classical Scene Maroon Green & Gold Demitasse Cup & Saucer B
Very pretty porcelain demitasse cup and saucer. Decorated in the Royal Vienna style with a classical scene depicting a lady and cherub sitting on a bench while another lady holds a mirror up for her and others work on arranging her hair framed in raised gold gilt floral scrollwork. With maroon and green bands and diamonds with gold gilt floral and scrollwork overlay, and gold gilt beading. The handle of the cup is gold. Marked on the bottom with a pseudo Royal Vienna beehive/shield mark in blue. Probably circa 1890 - 1918. Please note: I have two other nearly identical cups listed separately with different classical scenes.
Has some wear to the gilding, but no chips or cracks.
The cup measures approximately 2 3/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 4 3/4 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the piece.
